In 1953 Fulvio Brembilla, visionary Italian entrepreneur, founded RB in Bergamo, starting to produce furniture for high-end kitchens. In 1968, Giancarlo Iliprandi designed the Rossana model: this kitchen was so successful that its name was inserted in the name of the company, transforming it into the famous brand “of the kitchens of the heart”. In 1972, the Isola model designed by Giancarlo Iliprandi was exhibited at the M.o.M.A. of New York during the exhibition “Italy: a new domestic landscape”. The monobloc island in RST stainless steel has been considered a “design classic” since its presentation. In 1981, Rossana began her collaboration with Michele De Lucchi: the kitchen system 214 obtained the cover of Casa Vogue and, in 1986, was exhibited in the SEIBU department stores in Tokyo. Rodolfo Dordoni joins Rossana and designs his kitchen in RTD, “Verona”: the model starts a new era in the evolution of the concept of elements for the kitchen, going beyond its “technical function” and bringing the kitchen closer to the furniture to be living room. The collaboration between Rossana and Massimo Castagna begins, as art director and designer, who designs “Oslo”, “Basic” and “Vienna”, three of the most successful kitchen models in the history of the brand. In 2006, Massimo Castagna designed “Ginevra” and the innovative program that presents an amazing use of glass, thanks to the collaboration with Christophe Pillet – creator of the “Ginevra Glass System”. In 2009, Rossana joined the Colombini group, becoming the flagship jewel of the group’s kitchen design division. Rossana’s entry into the Colombini group initiates a fundamental process, many of the kitchen systems were introduced in this period: from “HD23”, designed by Massimo Castagna – an extremely complete and extendable program to satisfy every internal project request – up to iconic “DC10”, designed by Vincenzo De Cotiis, where iron meets stone and wood, creating a unique object that is at the same time the result and combination of constant research on materials and extraordinary craftsmanship. Massimo Castagna continues his work at Rossana: “TK38”, the elegant “professional kitchen” by Rossana, and “W75”. On the occasion of Eurocucina 2016, Rossana presents K-IN K-OUT, a kitchen system designed for indoor and outdoor use, where the design challenges the physics making possible an incredible protruding sliding worktop, with a unique design
